Terms of Use

Effective 13 July 2026 · v1.1

These terms cover your use of Boomph, a chore game for children that is set up and controlled by a parent or guardian. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Who can hold an account

Accounts are for adults (18+) — a parent or guardian — who set Boomph up for a child in their care and supervise its use. Children use the app under that grown-up’s account and supervision.

2. Service availability

We work to keep Boomph available and reliable, but online services sometimes have interruptions and no software is error-free. We may update the service as we improve it.

3. Using it well

Use Boomph for its purpose — a friendly nudge to get chores done. Don’t misuse it, try to break it, or upload anything unlawful or harmful. Boomph is a helper, not a substitute for parenting.

4. Photos

Photos should be of the task — the mess and the tidy-up — not of people. Every upload passes an automated people-in-photo check before it is stored. If the check flags a person or cannot reach a reliable result, the upload is rejected. A parent (never a child) can confirm that a false positive contains no real person and upload it again; we record that confirmation. You remain responsible for keeping people and identifying details out of uploads.

5. AI verification is best-effort

Boomph uses AI to check task photos. It’s good, but not perfect — it can get a call wrong either way. A parent can always override the result. Treat verdicts as a helpful check, not a final judgement.

6. Your data

How we handle your family’s data is set out in our Privacy Policy. You can delete everything at any time from Settings.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Boomph is provided without warranties and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use. Nothing here limits rights that can’t be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, with disputes subject to the courts of Scotland.

9. Changes & contact

We may update these terms and will post the new date here. Questions: hey@rough.ink.
